New CD Projects for 2018
Brett Baker Programme Leader for Musical Arts at the University of Salford will be launching several CD projects in 2018/9. Firstly a new CD in collaboration with Tom Davoren and Filton Band featuring new compositons by both Tom Davoren and Duncan Stubbs and Bourgeois rarely played Nightmare for Trombone form the basis of this new album charting Bretts early career and music from the West Country.
In February Brett Travels to Nashville, USA to continue a project with Reed Thomas and the Middle Tenneessee University Wind Ensemble.
Whilst during the early part of January 2018 he completes a project with Stuart Hall 2nd Trombone with the International Staff Band of the Salvation Army and the trombone sections of Black Dyke Band and the ISB to produce a CD of trombone Octets directed and produced by Stephen Bulla.
Finally a Solo CD with Black Dyke is half completed and will be available from the back end of 2018 after further recoprding sessions through the first half of the year.
