Recommended Materials
If looking for a few quick wins on recommended repertoire then I would suggest the following:
An Arthur Pryor solo such as Thoughts of Love, or Shout! a modern solo by Rob Wiffin
A Jazzy Solo such as Brasilia by Robin Dewhurst or Stardust arranged Bill Geldard
A Trombone Concerto by either Edward Gregson, Rob Wiffin or Martin Ellerby
A slow melody such as “O Promise Me” by De Koven or “Solveigs Song” by Edvard Greig with piano accompaniment. (Please see below many of these are available to buy on this website under sheet music).
Or for Brass Band and solo trombone I recommend I Loves you Porgy by Gershwin or Speak my Lord.
