Baker to record concept CD with Flowers Band
On 5-7th June, Trombonist Brett Baker joins forces again with Flowers Band to record a concept CD from some of the brass band movements most exciting young composers including; Paul Lovatt -Cooper, Christopher Bond, Andrea Price, Richard Rock, Simon Oliver, Lucy Pankhurst Andrew Mackereth, Dan Price, Huw Cole, Roger Trigg, Peter Byrom-Smith and Jonathan Bates. The CD with the theme of Myths and Legends will be a collaboration project where Chris Bond will link all the compositions together, the majority of which have been written especially for the project.
“Its really exciting to be working with the Flowers Band again who have worked on concept CDs before and is leading the way in terms of contest and concert performances, this is my first recording working with Paul Holland so I'm very much looking forward to that, the composers works are of very high quality as you can imagine from the names listed above”.
